Bezoek KNO arts

In mei heeft het ziekenhuis een container met medische apparatuur ontvangen van een ziekenhuis uit Oostenrijk met daarin onder andere: echo toestellen, bewakingsmonitoren, ecg apparaten en KNO instrumenten. Onlangs heeft een KNO (Keel-, neus- en oor) arts van het Bugando regeringsziekenhuis in Mwanza (1300km verderop) een bezoek gebracht aan het Kabanga Hospital om de materialen te installeren, te testen en patiënten te behandelen. In de gehele westelijke regio is op dit moment geen KNO arts en het plan is om in Kabanga wederom een KNO poli te starten. Als stichting juichen wij deze ontwikkelingen omtrent het uitbreiden van diensten van harte toe en we zullen ondersteuning bieden daar waar het nodig is.

In May, the hospital received a container with medical equipment from a hospital in Austria containing: ultrasound devices, surveillance monitors, ECG devices and ENT instruments. Recently, an ENT (ear-, nose- and throat) doctor from the Bugando government hospital in Mwanza (1300 km away from Kabanga) paid a visit to the Kabanga Hospital to install and test the materials and treat patients. In the entire western region there is currently no ENT doctor and the plan is to start an ENT clinic in Kabanga again. As a foundation, we warmly welcome these developments regarding the expansion of services and we will offer support if necessary.
