Studiebeurs voor Dr. Mayengo

In februari gaat dr. Peter Mayengo starten met een driejarige deeltijd master studie in Public Health aan de Suffolk Universiteit. De stichting stelt hiervoor een studiebeurs beschikbaar. Contractueel is vastgelegd dat hij minstens voor een periode van drie jaar na diplomering werkzaam blijft in het Kabanga Hospital. 

Peter Mayengo is sinds 2019 aangesteld als medisch directeur van het ziekenhuis. Met een vernieuwd management team vaart het ziekenhuis een vernieuwende koers en zijn ze hard bezig te innoveren. Dit alles is in het kader om de zorgstandaard naar een hoger niveau te tillen. Peter gaf aan dat hij hoopt met deze studie meer handvatten te krijgen om zijn taak als medisch directeur beter te vervullen.
Sinds de oprichting in 2010 financiert de stichting dit soort studiebeurzen om te investeren in personeel en tevens de leegloop in Kabanga te reduceren. Lees meer hierover op de scholingspagina.

In February, Dr. Peter Mayengo will start a three-year part-time Master’s degree in Public Health at Suffolk University. The foundation provides a scholarship. It is contractually stipulated that he will continue to work at the Kabanga Hospital for at least three years after graduation.

Peter Mayengo has been appointed medical director of the hospital since 2019. With a renewed management team, the hospital is taking an innovative direction. This is in the context of raising the standard of care. Peter hopes this study will provide him with more tools to fulfill his duties as medical director.
