Upgrade administratie Kabanga Hospital 

Sinds begin november dit jaar beschikt het Kabanga Hospital nu ook over een pinbetalingsysteem.

In Tanzania professionaliseert langzaamaan het banksysteem en steeds meer patiënten hebben toegang tot een bankrekening. Nu kunnen patiënten ook met pin in het ziekenhuis afrekenen. Dit is volgens sister Eva (Hoofd administratie) voor de financiële administratie een grote stap voorwaarts. Door de jaren heen werd er veel gewerkt met grote hoeveelheden cash geld. Dit zal deels zo blijven maar de hoop is om meer te groeien naar digitale betalingen.

In 2015 zijn drie personeelsleden op datamanagement training geweest. Er wordt nu geïnvesteerd in het aanleggen van een computernetwerk om de twee kantoren (polikliniek en administratie) met elkaar te koppelen. De Tanzaniaanse regering stelt steeds meer eisen aan patiëntendossiers en er is noodzaak om dit digitaal vast te gaan leggen in een ziekenhuis-informatie-systeem. Het ziekenhuis heeft een aanvraag gedaan bij de stichting om hierin financieel bij te dragen en te ondersteunen met kennis en expertise.

In Tanzania, the bank system is gradually becoming more professional and more patients have access to a bank account. Now patients can also pay with a pin in the hospital. According to sister Eva (Head of Administration) this is a big step forward for the financial administration. Over the years, all the payments were done with large amounts of cash. This will sometimes be the case, but there is hope to grow towards digital payments. In 2015, three members of staff attended data management training. Investments are now being made in the construction of a computer network to link the two offices (outpatient clinic and administration). The Tanzanian government is increasingly demanding patient records and there is a need to record this digitally in a hospital information system. The hospital has made an application to the foundation to contribute financially and to support with knowledge and expertise.
